Christians go to work, draw a paycheck, buy homes, furniture and the like but clearly, these things are not to be the driving force of our lives. Jesus points out that there should be a distinguishable difference in the pursuits of people of faith and those outside it. We should not fool ourselves into believing that we live for the Kingdom because of an occasional act of generosity. Even the “Gentiles” do that. I think people know that the Kingdom of God is their first concern the same way a person knows if they are a baby sitter or a mother. 1/8/2010 Conversations Within ts
