I have heard these words of Jesus used in conversation, in movies, often poking fun at someone. The truth is that just everybody relates to His poignant description, usually spoken after some personal failing, and our failings often taunt us. But I think it healthy for us to accept that as long as we reside in this mortal flesh we will feel this way from time to time. It seems expedient that we make our peace that there will be no peace with our fallen state.
