Every interaction we have with others communicates something, but the message received isn't always the message we want to send. Inattention says I don't value your opinion enough. Talking too much says I place too much value on my own opinions. None of us want to say these things because we know that only self-centered people act this way. The problem is that we can not help doing it because some of the time we are what we despise--a selfish person. Selfishness is the disease of the human race. The cure is a change of heart and Christ specializes in giving people one, if they will let Him. 10/6/11 Conversations Within ts (Durham, NC)
