Every non-living thing obeys God. A rock always does what a rock is supposed to do. Water always seek the lowest point because God commands it to do so. The sun, moon and stars travel the course that is set for them. The laws of nature never fudge in their obedience. The same cannot be said for living creatures. It seems that when man rebelled, all nature, at least all living things went renegade. Murder, cancer, malaria are all rogue behavior. God is still Lord over all of this. But at least for the present it is His will that living things be able to resist His will. Let me obey God like water obeys Him but as a living creature freely choosing obedience and His Kingdom will come, if only in my heart. 10/22/11 Conversations Within ts (Montgomery, AL)
