We usually associate perseverance with some action on our part and I suppose prayer is as much an action as anything else, perhaps more so. If we believe this, we should stick to our prayers as we stay with any task and that is until we see results. C.H. Spurgeon is said to have prayed every day for a number of friends to experience faith in Christ and did so without fail until he died. It is said that all but one came to faith before he died and that one did shortly after his departure. Perseverance in prayer is no small thing, and it is perhaps our most powerful contribution to the lives of those we love. 10/21/2010 Conversations Within ts (Gunterhill)
