“How little people know who think that holiness is dull. When one meets the real thing it is irresistible.” C. S. Lewis

“Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness...” Ps.96 ESV

Holiness is an old fashioned word that in most circles, has fallen out of any practical use. And, though the word is rarely used, there are still expressions of it today. If someone keeps themselves wholly and solely for their chosen mate they are acting out one expression of holiness. Anytime we reserve or set something aside as special or unique we are expressing this sacred idea. To worship God in the beauty of holiness would then mean a number of things. One is that we give ourselves in worship to Him alone and since worship is always closely connected to service, every single thing we do for others, we do it as an offering to Him. This means when we carry our neighbors trash down to the street we may be serving the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 8/18/2010 Conversations Within ts
