“There is a fellowship more quiet even than solitude, and which, rightly understood, is solitude made perfect.” Robert Louis Stevenson

“...not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some.” Heb. 10 ESV

These words used so often by clergy to exhort people to go to church have been twisted into something dreadful. Many religious leaders believe that people exist for the benefit of the church meetings not vise-versa. Such an emphasis has led people to mistakenly believe that the principle practice of Christians is to go to meetings. But though this encouragement has been abused, these words reveal an important aspect of a healthy spiritual life. The Christian life is not a go it alone affair. We need one another. And, whenever or however we meet, formally or informally we assemble in the name to help each other. We should never get in the habit of not getting together with Christian friends. 8/13/2010 Conversations Within ts
