“The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.” Ps.145 ESV
We say that someone is a “person of their word,” and by it, we mean that you can count on them to do as they have said. This is not always a good thing where people are concerned. A wife may count on her abusive husband to beat her when he threatens to do so. God is not only faithful He is committed to kindness in all His works. Even when God appears harsh He is being kind. As one old hymn puts it, “Behind a frowning providence. He hides a smiling face.” We can count on God and we can count on Him to relentlessly work all things for our good.
