“My Kingdom is not of this world.” Jesus
I often hear the criticism that if you take into account all the money that Christian churches spend on buildings, most which sit empty throughout the week, it seems that modern disciples of Jesus somehow did not understand Him when He said that His kingdom was not of this world. Of course we could probably say the same thing where personal residences are concerned. If we are not careful debt, not the Kingdom of God will often direct how we spend most of our time and energy.
